"Gator Bait" 8x10 Promotional Still. "Untamed and deadly as the swamps that spawned her!" "Half animal... All Woman." Claudia Jennings is Desiree, a backwoods gal who takes care of her siblings through poaching alligators. When two hillbilly deputies catch her poaching, they give chase and through a series of mishaps, one of the deputies accidentally shoots and kills the other one. Well, they go back and tell the sheriff that Desiree is the killer. Then, one of the crazy Brackett clan kills her sister. After that, Desiree goes on a revenge killing spree. Has to be seen to be believed. Not available in any format except VHS. Unfortunately, Claudia Jennings' career was just getting started when she was killed in a car accident in 1979. Here's the trailer. From 1974.

"At the Earth's Core" Japanese Movie Program. A Victorian scientist, (Peter Cushing) and his assistant, (Doug McClure) take a trip to the center of the Earth using a tunneling machine. They find all manner of strange creatures, including a species of telepathic bird which the natives worship. Caroline Munro is the beautiful Dia, a native girl who's soon to be sacrificed to the birds. I really like this movie. There's a really trippy scene where mad scientist Peter Cushing is hanging onto a giant plant, waving his umbrella while a giant creature screams and stomps it's way through the forest toward him. There are all kinds of weird, colorful plants and creatures. Very loosely based upon a story by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Japanese movie programs are sold at the theater in limited quantities to promote the film. They're great because they're relatively cheap, but printed very well and are loaded with rare stills. Here's the trailer for the film. From 1971.

"This is the way it was." Well, not really. "One Million Years BC" Four 8x10 promotional stills. Raquel Welch as Loana, from the 1966 classic Hammer Film "One Million Years BC." I won't go into the silly plot, but this movie is mostly famous for Raquel in her fur bikini, and secondly for Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion visual effects. One famous scene has a cat fight between Raquel Welch and Martine Beswick. Always a fun watch. Here's the trailer.
"Deadlier Than the Male" Original insert and 8x10 promotional still. I just re-watched this film and I had forgotten how much fun it is. Elke Sommer (pictured above) and Sylva Koschina play 2 female assassins. They kill their targets with bombs, spear guns, and a cigar that fires a bullet into the poor fellow smoking it. With Richard Johnson as Hugh Drummond, the man tasked with finding, and stopping them. It's from 1966, and it's sequel, "Some Girls Do," came out in 1969.
