"Logan's Run" original half sheet. The 1976 film adaptation of William F. Nolan's book. I've read the book and have seen the film several times and I think it translates well. In a future society the resources and population are strictly contained by the fact that most people go willingly to execution when they reach the age of 30. Those who buck the system and try to run for their lives are called "runners," and the men who chase them are called "sandmen." The film is the story of a sandman and a female runner who run together. Trailer. There was a TV show in 1977 too. (Never released on home video, but you might be able to find recordings.)
